I’m Speaking at First Unitarian Church of South Bend, Indiana this Sunday June 23rd. THe service is at 10:30 am and they do offer child care. You can locate directions and more here.
This is the church I grew up in and they invited me back again this year to speak. My sermon is “What if We Are Wrong?” about all the beliefs we hold as Truth when in fact...well...could we be wrong? I am excited to share my struggles with faith, life and kissing with this congregation. I love them and have known many of them all my life. They are kind and welcoming to me as a Christian and I love to share time with them.
You can read more about the services here. Unitarian Universalists are a very openminded group where everyone is welcome with open arms.
When I spoke there last year it was on “Messy Spitiuality” and how my Unitarian upbringing shapes and challenges my Christian faith. They were so gracious and interested in what I had to say. I also did this talk for the Unitarian Church in Hobart, Indiana. I have visited there several times and like the church a lot.
I have been remiss in posting my speaking gigs, so I will try to post them more regularly. I look forward to seeing some of you there! Get ready to let some things go.
