All of the instructions I can see online are meshy, but I like that this one is rigid and truly will keep the feet out. Thank you for your help! I hope we can pull this off!Colleennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18041017.post-949957346607762022018-09-25T17:32:08.599-05:002018-09-25T17:32:08.599-05:00Hi there! This is awesome! Most of the skirt guard instructions I see are meshy- which don't seem to be strong enough to block out little feet. What material and how did your dad make the rigid skirt guard? Thank you!!colleennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18041017.post-57645376582433938462016-09-16T13:25:11.784-05:002016-09-16T13:25:11.784-05:00What did your dad use to make the foot guard for t...What did your dad use to make the foot guard for the rear tire? and where did he get it? it looks like some sort of plastic sheeting. I'm trying to set up something like this for my bike.

Thanks

JasonJasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00015833632460493128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18041017.post-40895850474501337522016-08-31T11:17:26.461-05:002016-08-31T11:17:26.461-05:00Thanks Arjun! You could make something similar though, with some padding with foam, a gardener's kneeling pad, duct tape etc.
Also the better rack with more weight bearing will last longer, this was just a 50lber. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND WHEEL SKIRTS! My dad made ours, but you can buy a set to protect little feet from tire spokes....my daughter was 'well counseled' about then but still caught her foot in the and we were blessed it wasn't broken.

I'd LOVE to see your finished effort!
liveyourlovoutloudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07120404914868731978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18041017.post-42955663160813718012016-08-31T08:39:43.327-05:002016-08-31T08:39:43.327-05:00I love what you'e done. What did you do about seat padding? From the pictures it looks pretty professional.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16653310745789806371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18041017.post-74042024163278175142016-04-21T12:11:13.487-05:002016-04-21T12:11:13.487-05:00This post was helpful as I was trying to figure ou...This post was helpful as I was trying to figure out how to create a 'fake' cargo bike for myself.
